Arrival and the right meeting point

Benevento railway station is the reference for a train arrival, while the Arch of Trajan identifies an area of the monumental visitor route. For a hotel near the arch, still give its street and property name. A meeting beside a monument and dropping luggage at a hotel are different destinations, even within the same area. When travelling with others, share the accommodation address before deciding where the group should gather and start the requested journey.

Finding your way around local landmarks

The Roman Theatre is on Piazza Ponzio Telesino and is separate from Santa Sofia and the Arch of Trajan. For a performance or archaeological visit, use the theatre name and keep the organiser’s directions. Do not replace it with historic centre alone: the cultural route covers different places. An event ticket does not establish a vehicle meeting point, which should be agreed separately from the place where spectators assemble or enter the venue for the event.

Planning the return and onward connections

After walking between Santa Sofia and Corso Garibaldi, choose the departure location according to where you actually finish. If you began at the theatre but moved elsewhere, update the request before returning. For a train, name Benevento station and the connection time; for Napoli Capodichino airport, use NAP. Add any stop to retrieve hotel luggage explicitly rather than treating the walk between monuments as the complete transfer to your next departure point outside the visitor route.
